Sixth Form Applications officially closed on Monday 6th January 2020.
Late applications are still welcome and will be considered as received.
Important Update from UCAS April 2020, for Year 13 Leavers
This week the Government confirmed that A level results day will be on Thursday 13 August, and Scottish results day will be no later than 4 August 2020.
Governments across the UK have also asked universities and colleges to temporarily stop making unconditional offers to students that are yet to receive their results.
With these announcements in mind, we have made the decision to make further changes to upcoming deadlines – giving you more time to make decisions on your offers.
There is now only one undergraduate decision deadline for applicants that have received all of their decisions from universities and colleges by 4 June. You will need to reply to any offers by 18:00 (UK time) on 18 June.
If any applicants have been affected by this change, we’ve emailed them to let them know and will be updating their deadline in Track.
It’s important students understand the different types of offers, and make the right decision for your future. Given the current circumstances, we know for some, this decision may be harder than expected. Please check out the many resources available online to help, including:
- University and college virtual open days on www.ucas.com .
- The chance to speak to current undergraduates through Unibuddy on ucas.com – those who have already experienced student life and the courses you are applying for.
For those who need it, please be reassured that Clearing will be available as planned on 6 July.
For any quereis, please email Mr Bryant: firstname.lastname@example.org
Drapers’ Academy Sixth Form opened in 2012 to provide outstanding teaching and opportunities for all our students.
Our first set of students completed their A Level results in the summer of 2014. We are delighted to see 82% of these students continue on to higher education studying both undergraduate degrees and art foundation courses. The Sixth Form has continued to grow and in January 2014 we received a record number of applications that exceeded our places available.
The excellent teaching and learning environment within the Academy are the key ingredients of our success. We provide 1:1 tutorial sessions, dedicated teachers and pastoral support to guide our students through the transition period from GCSE to A Level and beyond.
Alongside academic success we also encourage our students to think about how they can enhance their development, as they become a young adult, through engaging in our Sixth Form enrichment activities. Our students have the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award, represent the Sixth Form in sporting events and take part in the film club.
As a part of the Drapers’ Multi-Academy Trust we receive an incredible amount of support from our sponsors, The Drapers’ Company and Queen Mary University of London. We work together to provide academic excellence in a supportive environment. With these sponsors, a guaranteed place is available to all Drapers’ Academy students at Queen Mary University of London provided they achieve the entry requirements.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering Drapers’ Academy and if you would like any further information on our Sixth Form please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com.
