British Heart Foundation - Fundraising Update

The above photo shows Ms Burroughs presenting a cheque for the final amount raised, an amazing £112, to our hearfelt fundraisers.

Their kind story featured in the local newspaper, the Romford Recorder, where Jadie- Marie was quoted as saying, "I got to know my cousin better a few years ago at a family wedding, and since then we have become friends. She is very brave even thought she may have to have a heart transplant. I learnt so much doing this assembly."

Charlie commented, " The support from our friends and teachers in raising this money has been brilliant."

Ms Burroughs, the Year 8 pastoral manager, summed up what we all felt when she added: "Everyone at the Academy is very proud and impressed by what a lovely thing Jade-Marie, Charlie and their friends have done".
