London Lights Trips - December 8th & 14th, 2010

Pupils from years 7 and 8, and years 8 and 9, visited the London Lights on December 8th and 14th respectively. As well as seeing the Christmas lights in Oxford Street and Regents Street, the pupils travelled through the City of London following the trail of Jack the Ripper, saw Sweeney Todd's barber shop, learnt the story of Pudding Lane, about the plague, Jimmy Garlic, as well as learning why we use sayings such as "hung, drawn and quartered", "not touching someone with a barge pole" and the "graveyard shift".

The evening finished with a stop in McDonalds! A highly successful, interesting and fun evening enjoyed by all.
