Love Food Catering Visit

A group of pupils from year 10 and 11 took part in a catering workshop today, a council led initiative called Love Food Hate Waste, at the Betty Whiting Centre in Harold Hill.

Getting the opportunity to watch Community Chefs Mark and David Borrell, who have previously worked in top London establishments, cook up a minestrone soup before having a go themselves. It was a brilliant afternoon and taught the children some good basic cooking skills as well as gain an appreciation for skills needed in the catering industry from two very accomplished chefs.
