Visit by International Childrens Author

International author and winner of several literary awards, Tony Lee, visited the Academy today. He spent the morning joining pupils in lesson time by exploring the motivation of characters and the how the storyline develops in some of his recent original graphic novels such as; Outlaw: The Legend Of Robin Hood, a 21st century retelling of the classic story and winner of several literary awards and; The sequel, Excalibur: The Legend Of King Arthur, an American Library Association Best Novels For Teens 2012 nomination. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed a very different but inspiring English lesson with Tony, many of whom joined him at lunchtime in the library to discuss ideas and have books signed by him. It was great to see so much enthusiasm for reading by them. Thank you for visiting us Tony.
