Pupils from year 7, 8 and 9 had the opportunity to visit London this December to see the Christmas lights of Oxford Street, Regents Street and also Trafalgar Square. This fun evening also included a trip to McDonalds for dinner, and the coach trip also followed the route of Jack the Ripper, with pupils learning some 'strange but true' facts such as where the saying 'double cross' comes from and stopping outside where the notorious Sweeney Todd's barbers shop was. On the way home pupils answered a quiz on the knowledge gained from the tour, as well as had a singing contest! Although it was a late evening, and the London traffic did not help the journey, it was very enjoyable.
