Academy Receives Positive Ofsted Inspection

Drapers' Academy Principal, Mr Slater, has written to parents and carers of pupils at the Academy today to outline the findings of the recent monitoring inspection by Ofsted.

Whilst there are many aspects identified, some with very clear guidance on areas that require improvement. Pleasingly there was clear recognition of the progress made in the quality of teaching and learning in the school. The figure of 78% good or outstanding lessons is a testament to the hard work, dedication and skills of our entire teaching body.

The conclusion HMI made is that the school is making satisfactory progress. We concur with this decision and are now working determinedly to raise this measure to good or better.
