Hockey Festival with GB International

Promising hockey players from years 7 and 8 had the opportunity to attend a training master class today with GB forward, Jonty Clark. As well as some useful training techniques pupils had the chance to ask the Essex born player about his playing career. He answered Teah Stapleton's question, stating that he had been playing since the age of seven, and explained to Mason Emery that he played the forward position so when they play a 4,3,3 formation this means he plays anywhere in the front line.

After the training session the pupils played in an indoor hockey tournament where we came 2nd, so the training paid off! Everyone was given mini hockey sticks and stress balls courtesey of England Hockey which many of the pupils got signed them by Jonty, with all the pupils saying how much they had enjoyed the day.
