National Sports Week

With only 13 months until the Olympic Games pupils at the Academy have had the opportunity to try some of the less common sports as part of National Sports Week.

A total of 250 pupils took part in the activities offered throughout the week that included akido, fencing, boxing and laser clay pigeon shooting.

We discovered some very talented pupils in these individual sports, with Rhianna Kerr and Frederick Bambelu noted for their femcing skills and Bradley Holtum and James McCartney in shooting.

We have now secured a Fencing Club, that will commence in the next school year.
