Unbeaten at Hockey

It was a great evening tonight when our year 7 pupils played in their first hockey matches with year 8 pupils and were unbeaten. Playing the Maltings Academy from Witham the girls team drew 1-1, Holly Shorey was the goal scorer for Drapers' Academy in this game. The boys team drew 0-0 with some fabulous saves from Karl Robbins, his first time in goal too!

Following the Maltings game the boys team then played the girls in an exciting game where the boys won 2-1. Damien Best scored both the boys goals. Whilst Fleur Weaver scored a penalty flick with what turned out to be a broken rather than bruised knuckle!

The games were umpired by year 10 pupils James McCartney and Sean Phillips, and William Williams in year 9.
