Drapers’ Academy staff are incredibly proud of our A level students this year. They faced significant challenges due to Covid prior to starting their KS5 courses and yet have surpassed the results the school achieved in 2019. This year group have worked hard showing both dedication and ambition as well as exceptional leadership skills. Our expectations of their success has always been high.

We are proud of both their exam success and the way in which they have thought seriously about their next steps. Many will be taking up University places in a wide range of courses whilst others, in a shift this year, have decided to follow a career path into the public sector including  the NHS, counselling, the army and the police; careers we all relied on so heavily in the Covid pandemic. Both of these pathways embody the Academy’s values: kindness, purpose and respect.

  • We are delighted that Jaiden Ghedia has gained a place to study English Literature and Language at Oxford University.
  • We have a number of students going to King’s College London.  Dawid Bekisz is going to study Geography and Environmental studies having achieved some outstanding grades.  Amber Juggins is continuing her studies in psychology after securing straight A grades and Evie Korten will be studying for a degree in English.  Siawash Samimi has gained a place to study medicine following a GAP year.
  • In addition we have a number going to Queen Mary University of London, one of our sponsors. Amber Wade will be reading History, Emma Duncan will continue her studies in Drama, Amy Turner in History,  Eliana Bardoshi will be studying Psychology and Flavius Ursache is going to complete his degree in Biomedical Science.

Quotes from students:

Amber Juggins“I’m really excited to start my next chapter at King’s College. Thank you Drapers’ Academy for these two years. It’s been great!”

Evie Korten“This was the most terrifying day but I’m thankful for my A Levels and looking forward to going to University!”

Dawid Bekisz“I’m really happy with my results and excited to study at King’s College London in September.”

The majority of our students will be going to university in the autumn and we wish them the best of luck for the future and look forward to hearing how they progress.

We remain in touch with our former students and are delighted to see that our former Head Girl, Lydia Tyler, has this year graduated with a 2:1 degree in English Literature and Language from Oxford.  She is currently preparing for a career as an English teacher. Yet again, one of our Drapers’ Academy students is moving in to a career that will allow them to give back.
