Drapers’ Academy wishes to congratulate the class of 2023 on their exams results. The Academy’s Principal, Gillian Dineen, is very proud of the achievement of Year 11 pupils.

“I am delighted with all of our pupils’ achievements. Our school is proud to serve the community of Harold Hill, and in spite of significant challenges, including the impact of Covid, many of our pupils have surmounted these difficulties to achieve amazing results. Overall the school has come close to matching the outcomes in 2019 which were the best results we had achieved at that time.

The focus today is on our pupils. At Drapers’ Academy we celebrate every success and understand that it is the combination of hard work from both pupils and our dedicated staff that ensures pupils achieve their best, so that they can move on to the next exciting stage of their education.

Every pupil who has gained the grades to move on to college, sixth form and apprenticeships is a winner and deserves our congratulations. The following pupils have truly excelled:

Ignas Chmieliauskas achieved 9s in Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Maths and Physics and 8s in DT and English Literature.

Denis Puscasu gained 9s in Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, History, Maths and Physics and 8s in Biology, Business Studies and French.

David Ajayi achieved 9 in Maths, 8s in Chemistry and Physics, 7s in Biology and English Literature as well as a Distinction in Music and a Merit in Catering.

Wang Tin Wu gained 9s in Art and Chinese, 8s in Chemistry, Geography, Maths and English.

Seta Samimi achieved 9 in English Literature, Grade 8s in Chemistry, English Language and RE and 7s in Biology, History, Maths and Physics.

Amalia Bros gained 8s in English Lang, Maths and Art, 8-7 in Combined Science and 7s in English Literature, French and History.

Sienna Nickson achieved 9 in English Literature, 8s in Geography and Business Studies, 7s in English Literature, English Language, DT, Maths, 7-6 in Combined Science and 6 in Drama.

This year we are expecting more of our internal Year 11 pupils to progress to our sixth form than ever and we have high aspirations for their future.  As a community school it is so important that we provide opportunities for our pupils to achieve and therefore have the opportunity to be part of our successful Sixth Form.

Today is clearly a time to congratulate all of our pupils and to thank the teachers and parents of Drapers’ Academy for the support given to our Year 11 pupils.”
