Principal's Welcome

I am proud and privileged to be Principal of Drapers’ Academy and am utterly committed to ensuring that we provide the best opportunities for all of our pupils, students and their families. Drapers’ Academy is committed to serving our pupils, families and our local community and in our vision statement we make clear that our focus is both to maximise academic attainment and support our young people to lead fulfilling lives.

As Principal, I am determined to build upon the successful school that Ofsted recognised in our 2020 Inspection. We have a hugely experienced and committed staff who are focused on ensuring that all pupils and students succeed and enjoy coming to school.

I am delighted that following my first year as Principal at Drapers’ Academy we have achieved our best A Level and GCSE results. However, we have much more we know we and our pupils and students can achieve. 

We will continue this year to build on our strong positive culture based around our three core values.

At Drapers’ Academy we have very high expectations of ourselves and also of all of our pupils and students. We believe they can excel and that setting the highest expectations is an essential part of ensuring success for all of our community. We expect our families to support us in ensuring that their children take every opportunity to learn and develop, as well as follow our values.

As part of Drapers’ Multi Academy Trust our pupils are fortunate in having the opportunity to follow a coherent path from Nursery through to Sixth Form and beyond. Our pupils are able to join our thriving and successful sixth form and then our strong links with Queen Mary University London and the Drapers’ Company open an amazing range of post 16 opportunities.

Drapers’ Academy remains, as ever, committed to supporting the children and families from our community.
