STEM Army UK Workshop

On Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th February, Drapers' Academy welcomed visitors from STEM Army UK to deliver workshops to Year 7.

Pupils were tasked with tackling one of two challenges; disaster relief emergency response task and the rocket powered car design challenge.

Miss Knight, who organised the visit said, "It is without doubt that the Year 7s thoroughly enjoyed the challenges set in the workshops. Pupils had the chance to use technology and equipment they have never used before to think about real-world challenges. Furthermore, it was an opportunity to see the scope of careers available in STEM (Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering). A fantastic 3 days for year 7! We look forward to seeing these students get involved in further STEM activities."
